In-line Automatic Air Venting Valve with Separation Chamber
Application: Designed to exceed NFPA 13 code that requires a single air vent be provided on each wet pipe sprinkler system utilizing metallic pipe. The large diameter of the separation chamber causes water to drop to the bottom as air rises to the top where the Air Scoop forces it up where it is released by the 7900AAV. As water exits the separation chamber it is reduced back to the supply line’s pipe diameter which pushes air back towards the chamber. The remaining air is pushed up the back side of the air scoop through its Quick Vent Channel where it is released by the 7900AAV. To rapidly remove air from the system attach a hose to the purge valve’s hose connection and open the valve while the system is being filled. Once the system is in operation the automatic vent will release any excess air. The purge valve is also convenient for cleaning the strainer.
